It needs welded on one side but it’s priced cheap. Just trying to see who makes it and thought someone has one like it.

There seems to be a lot of unbranded/no name skid steer implements being sold, usually at auction.
The torn tube looks pretty thin, like made from light gauge metal. I would pass.

No idea who made that grapple. I don't think I would want to take it on as a project. One mount has ripped up and displaced. Both rams are leaking and need to be rebuilt. Notice - no bushing at the major attachment points for the dual lids. I'd pass on this one.

Then again, if it’s dirt cheap and only for occasional use, might be ok

You are right - Hay Dude. For occasional use ....... Every time I start my tractor I will be using my grapple in some way.

Know what you mean. Everything I have is commercial duty. I use it hard on a weekly basis to make a living. That comment I made above is me attempting to get in the shoes of the occasional user.
I have an HLA log grapple and it’s built heavy. I cheated out a little on the fork frame, but I know how to handle it.

That is a light duty grapple that someone has abused.
I can certainly be repaired.
I bought a new $1200 grapple without greaseable pins, and changed the pins to brass, then drilled and tapped them for grease zerks.
If the greased brass pins should ever wear, they can easily be replaced.

Bolted pins are far from the only problem. It’s the quality of work that went into the whole piece. And you’d have rebuilt the whole mount to really help it. Nothing of quality rides on a 3/8” wide wear area.

we see lots of skid steer and even some 3 point stuff from somewhere foreign, brand new, in the monthly equipment auction here. I cant believe how much they sell for at auction. someone is making a killing importing them and selling them at auction, usually sight unseen.

it looks like the hinge holes are all elongated by the wear pattern, and that let the top go over center, then someone tried to close it to rip off that cylinder mount.
