Any one try the JD SSQA other than RockGod?

Ok... the 2nd picture has the locking lug extended through the mounting hole.

And... the 1st picture doesn't!

When you lock the lug into the mounting hole it normally "tightens up" the attachment to the mounting frame of the loader (FEL).

Nonetheless, I have a couple of aftermarket attachments with the SS quick attachment as well as the JD WorkPro attachments.

The WorkPro attachments are "nat's @ss" close tolerances! The aftermarket attachments all have some degree of "slop". They all work well - even the root grapple and the hitch receiver/gin pole attachment.

The top lip on the FEL mount bracket fits into the attachment with at least 1 1/2" of steel. So, 3/8" or so of "slop" is nothing to lose sleep over... even with the root grapple that tips the scales just shy of 900 lbs!

If the aftermarket SSQA adapter doesn't match up to the loader mounts as well as you'd like - note the high spots - and grab your 4 1/2" angle grinder and go to work!

That's what I did... A "match" made in heaven!

AKFish - do I understand correctly then that you have the John Deere SSQA adapter?

Yep... on my JD 110 TLB and my 5075M.

There's just too many attachment's and different options available in the SSQA market that are less expensive and in many cases better quality - than the OEM JD adaptor.

I looked really hard at the new "global adaptor" that is available for the 5000M series. It may well be a stronger, more robust adaptor than the SS - but the attachments are harders to find than "hen's teeth" and they're all gold plated!!!

AKfish, I'm confused. If there's already a 3/8" gap where exactally whould you start "grinding"?
