Glenn, I have to admit, I feel better now! Thanks for posting the pictures of projects yet to be completed. All of a sudden my list seems managable.

My septic tanks needs pumping, my pool liner needs replacing, a light needs to be cut into the pool wall before the liner goes in, a retaining wall was just completed (15 minutes ago) but now I have several hours of backfilling to do, the flower beds along the retaining wall need to be replanted in most places, repaired in others. there are 72 bags of mulch in the driveway waiting for me to get them placed around a new area I planted with trees, and there is the solar film that needs to go on some windows and, and, and . . .

Ditto on being a beautiful place. Your flower beds don't seem to be suffering the same fate as your gardens. Thanks for showing us the place. I can imagine some big catfish in that lake. Those chores...they are still going to be there tomorrow.

I did that last weekend and finally finish filling it today. Since it rained so much and I had no chemicals in it yet I have a nice slippery film on it now. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif A little algicide and chemistry and some scrub brushing will take care of it.

My honey-do list seems a little bit more managable now. I must admit that my work day has become shorter as time has gone by. I think it's down to about 8 hours a day now. Strange how no matter how hard you work, there is always more to do. You never seem to catch up but now I don't worry about it too much. There's always tomorrow.

I realized today I have 2 full pages of small print or about 200 things I have written down that need doing! I've learned that most stuff that "needs" doing will either get replaced before fixing or wasn't really needed! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Like others mine is 10 miles long and growing faster than the grass I haven't yet cut again... when ya approach that mid life crises you might as well say heck with them little things they will get done when they get done cause lifes too short to worry about them... today I put in a resume~ for a new job. the olds one has gone down hill so long it aint funny as well as no retirement 401k or anything else... looking at a traveling maintenance job for auto industry... get to move around for a day or two here and there but that can get tireing too... what i needs is some real good earning and very little working ! lol (then again don't we all!?)

Glenn9643, You can always tell the guys that are retired,They have the time to do the projects? well maybe ... I blame those TV shows ,landscaping,home building ,extreme home makeovers, etc, you get the picture.. I'm no slouch when it comes to projects, I got as many or more than the next guy but if I live as long as it takes to finish just what I have now I'll out live my grand children /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif. Why do I feel the need to continually do more and more?? Not because I can, maybe because I want to finish and relax someday? Not sure but I do feel driven to keep busy and produce while I can. Do I need a check-up from the neck-up?? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

The shed that I start 4+ years ago that still needs a couple of pieces of siding.

Of course the brown shed in the picture still needs some trim put on it too.

This doesn't include the house that needs power washing, the deck that needs staining, the garden that needs weeded, the flag pole that needs a light, the driveway that needs gravel........................................................................
