Valkman,

Have you tried Larry (the owner) at East Elliot Garage in Me. Just over the border from Portsmouth? He's a nice dealer and does a good job. Just name your price and see if he accepts.

Valkman,
When I was shopping the best price in NH was from the dealer in Plymouth NH. The Southern NH dealers all seemed to have some agreement on bottom line price and spoke badly of the dealer up North due to his willingness to deal. I consistently found better pricing in Maine and Vermont but then had the distance to the dealer for warrenty work as a concern. Good luck on your purchase and please let us know how you make out so we can support the dealers who really have the customer in mind.

I would also highly recommend Emerich Sales in Charlton NY. I live in NH and had a tractor to trade. They gave me the best price sight unseen on my trade and by far the best price on the new tractor. This all included delivery and free pickup and delivery for any warranty service.

Re: Any recommendations on New England Kubota deal

I just took delivery of an L3130 from Emerich in NY two weeks ago. You aren't going to beat his prices. I was concerned about the distance, he's just above Albany, I'm just north of NYC.. but I decided the price difference was worth it, and I'm comfortable with doing my own routine service. I paid for delivery, but you may be able to negotiate that.. I didn't try. Gary, his setup and delivery man was great at spending time with me after the delivery pointing out everything and answering questions. I had to wait a couple of weeks for delivery because the loaders were scarce for a while there.. not sure if that's changed.

And.. above all.. the tractor arrived in A1 shape.. no dings dents or bruises. I realize it's a tractor.. but it's my baby.. I want every mark on it to be my mistake.. not someone elses.

Hi George,

There are tons of good Kubota dealers around… Columbia Tractor just happens to be in my back yard and I’ve had a number of positive buying experiences with Chet down there…

With that said… I prefer to keep business local and support our “local” economy… /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Give Sharon Springs Garage a buzz. They are ~50 miles west of Albany, (~30 miles west of Emrich's). I shopped Emrich's, Sharon Springs, Carver and Randall Implements in Fultonville. Dave Handy at Sharon Springs was fantastic to deal with, 518-284-2346.

He was slightly cheaper than Emrichs and had the L3710 I wanted in stock.

For a good deal with a small family run business you shoud try Wescott's in Gorham, Maine. Dana and his sons run a class operation and care about people
Just traded in my 2160 for a Bx2200 with a few goodies.
