common sense laws
unusually dangerous weapons
assault weapon
high capacity magazine
military grade weapon
fair share

Libs love these words that actually mean nothing but sound so reasonable. They can mean anything you want them to mean. Laws must be specific. Words must mean something, or there can be no legitimate discussion.

You're right. I guess I should have specified high capacity magazine automatic weapons.

Other than terrorist acts (and none in the US), no automatic weapons have been used. The rifles used semi-automatic with standard capacity magazines...standard capacity for an AR-15 being 20 or 30 rounds....so, you need to be more clear and not follow the left wing lying (I'll give Bernie Sanders a break when he says automatic weapon...but only because he's incredibly stupid and most Vermonters outside of Burlington hate his guts).
Let's do a calculation:
Assume 7.5 million AR-15 in civilian hands
Let's say a total of 200 people have been killed in mass shootings involving semi-auto rifles such as the AR-15 (200 is probably a high estimate)
That comes to 0.002667% per rifle
Even taking a lower estimate of AR-15s in civilian hands (5000000, 5 million)
Same number of victims
That comes to 0.004000% per rifle

The AR-15 is not the problem...civilian ownership of AR-15s is not the problem. Criminals and terrorists are the problem and both should be wiped out with no mercy.

Now, terrorists will use any means possible, so I guess the MA AG will want to ban trucks too

Gun manufactures need to stop selling and servicing all states that restrict the sale of their products.

...and the ammunition that goes along with the guns. Then let's see how long before the states cry "Uncle."

Fine with me. Our police can service their weapons out of state and the rest of us will remain safe.

Except for those pesky "our state first" laws that require them to buy equipment with in-state dealers.

When available. If not available they can buy from neighboring states. I'm sure Roy and Bernie will get them a good deal in VT.

If it came to that point, we'd probably prohibit sales to a state the violated their citizens' rights

Some manufacturers are not selling to the police in states where citizens cannot buy their guns.

The Ma "assault weapons ban" was written and passed by the legislature, using the same wording of the federal 1994 'ban'. This was done in case the fed law expired, which it did. Since 1994, the Ma govt has been following that law.

Now the AG has decided, unilaterally, that the law also includes other firearms that are not specifically mentioned in that law. She issued an edict, on her own, banning these firearms. The edict is so vague that it can actually mean that all semiauto firearms are illegal. She also said that she will not come after those guns that are already in the hands of residents....... as if we can believe that.

She has decided on her own, to modify a law that has been on the books for 18 years. This is a big problem for everyone. If it can be done in Ma for guns, it can be done for anything, anywhere.
The rally in Boston today was a large event, some news media reported 'several' thousand people showed up.

Boston PD estimated >5K , that's a heck of a turnout!
