Any tricks to find an underground water leak?

I will be surprised if it isn't a ground bury hydrant, faced this problem last year. I have 470' line it was shutoff on ground hydrant

I am not familiar with the term "ground bury hydrant". Can you explain. Thanks

Usually refer to a hydrant that has it's valve underground where it wont freeze. When they are turned off, the water in the upright pipe drains down in the ground below the frost line.
