LittleBear; My Mahindra 2015 is low enough to drive into my garage without taking it off and is just over my head enough to offer protection in case of a rollover..On my property which is hilly with many oak trees, I don't always use belt because if I were to roll over, I am almost always lined up where a tree would end up across my seat, therefore I leave it off so I have the option of moving out of the seat in that case. If I were mowing on a hillside where a tree wouldn't become a seat partner, I would always opt to use the belt, in my humble opinion, this is safer without than with. depends on the circumstance..Good luck, I hope you find just the right tractor...JohnJ
