Sounds great if you have an easy way to access the engine coolant, which brings me back to the original post above..........

Somewhere I posted an explanation like this before but I'll be darned if I can find it. IF your tractor's plumbing is anything like mine this may help. There is a short 90* bypass hose I disconnected the top from that rectangular housing where the hose in the foreground connects. Then with the bottom clamp loosened it could be turned. That solved two issues - it could be rotated so it points in the right direction and allows same-size connections to be made.

IIRC the metal neck where the bottom of the 90 connects is smaller than the horizontal connection. I used 5/8" hose for both supply and return. One hose runs right into the nipple on the housing and the other connects to the rotated 90* hose via a barbed fitting and clamps. The first picture was taken looking in over top of the engine at about waist height deom the right side of the tractor. The far hose clamp is on the bottom of the 90* hose, and the near clamp holds the heater hose onto the nipple where the 90 was removed.

Here is looking down at the same hoses and you can see where the 90* hose is connected to the heater hose with a double barbed internal coupling and a pair of hose clamps.

Finally a look from the outside. There was enough space to route the hoses inside the engine cover to get back to the cab.
