Just bought a XR4046HC and paid $27,200 out the door.
I have the same tractor and love it. I have almost 300 hours on it in 4 months and it has been flawless, enjoy.
sorry to steal post.

Awesome responses! Just another reason to LOVE this site! Got a price tonight. Trading in my 1999 1725 with 1,700 hours on it. They are allowing $8,500 trade in and the difference on the XR3037C would be $17,550 and on the XR4040C would be $19,650. This is from my 2nd closest dealer 250 miles away. The closer dealer 120 miles away was $12,000 on trade in and difference of $23,115 on the XR4040C. Didn't price the 3037 with him. He must have been quoting full retail. Any thoughts on the price?

if you are financing then price isnt bad. Cash price would be lower.

Wow...that's putting some hours on it quick! A few more folks like you, and we'll have a good idea how the new models hold up in no time at all....which is a good thing.

I bought a XR3037 a few weeks ago with the hydrostatic, I like it and I am 6300 ft, I still own a NH1725 and have had it since 125 hours 14 years ago and it has 331 hours now, all used for manure spreading, mowing and snow removal, I bought the 3037 for the cab and hydrostatic, I cleared the drive and barnyard in literally 1/2 the time during the last big snow and had to take my car hart off cause I was sweating in the cab even after turning the heater down. I tried the XR4000 at the farm, and felt the 3037 had more power at this elevation because of the turbo, I'm very pleased with my purchase and passed on both a green and orange tractor with a good deal, the LS was better priced, better warranty and after several talks with the LS rep who used to be a JD dealer, am happy with my purchase (btw, they sell 2x as many cab 3037 as the cab 4000 series and almost all are hydrostats cause no one wants a gear drive in the smaller cut tractors). I am so pleased that we the dealer and I are discussing an XR4046 for my other farm at 6800 ft elevation.......with a hydro trans!!

Question for you, are you running it at rated RPM all the time so the loader is quick? I find on my 1725 that i run around about 1500 rpm and hit the foot throttle when i want to use the loader. On the 4046 Hydro i played with i was going for the hand throttle all the time when i was playing with the loader. The lack of a foot throttle was annoying. I guess i could have ran it wide open but why burn the fuel when it's not needed?? What's the warmup time for the hydro when it's cold? Also the one complaint i have heard from 2 dealers is the loader doesn't lift as high as my 1725. I will be using it to load my dump trailer on occasion. What's your thoughts on this? I really would like to NOT have to buy all new attachments as all i have now is 60" and if i went to a 40 series with R4's i would be a lot wider. From what i am reading, the 3037 is a **** of a lot stronger and heavier than my 1725. Wish they had a power shuttle like Massey!!!!

I have been varying my rpm as I break the motor in, from 1500 to 2000 rpm, the loader is just fine and has 2 1/2x the lifting capacity of the 1725, the 3037 is a little bigger overall than the 1725 with a 66" bucket, part of the reason I changed and sent the 4000 back was the 72" bucket and the front end outside tire to outside tire is 69" so a 66" bucket would be a lot narrower and I dint need two buckets. My mower, rear blade, etc is all the same equip from my 1725 and my mill creek manure spreader will take a 66" bucket with some room to spare but not the 72" bucket. The 4000 series is a beefy tractor with really big tires, I also felt that the extra weight including the rim guard made it feel sluggish compared to the 3037 with the turbo. A lot of guys on this forum like the bigger tractors, for my use on our small horse operation, the 1725 has served me well for mowing, post holes, loading manure and snow removal, it's big enough to get done anything I need here and will probably do just fine on my bigger 60 acre farm where we have the old Ford 3000, I'm giving the kids the 1725 to use there for small chores around the barn and snow removal, my trusty old 8n will still pull the pto spreader, I'm really happy with the hydro, it's taking some getting used to since I am really used to the foot throttle on the 1725, but the cab is well worth the changeover and I have used my neighbors JD hydro a couple of times, he is the one that sold me on the hydro, as far as warm up, very little time and we have had a real chiller this winter with a lot of below 0 temps, I use a block heater and a few minutes to let the fluids circulate when I start it up. Believe me, I checked out every tractor, internet site, forum, talked to the JD, kubota and LS reps, compared every spec, you name it, I did a lot of homework/research before I wrote the check and I made a $12k better buy with more equipment than my best bid on a comparable orange or green tractor, the 4000 series was even better except it barely fit thru the barn door because it's a little taller than the 3037 and the green and orange would not have fit thru the doors cause we have built a lip up in front of the doors to keep the wind/snow from blowing in under the doors, something I never worried about with the 1725 and no cab. I looked at a lot of used orange and green tractors and without a warranty, I wouldn't buy them even with hall of the dealer's promises and the prices were actually higher for a used one than the new LS! I heard all of the stories about resale etc, that doesn't interest me, I still own a jd140 garden tractor that I bought used over 30 years ago and it stills mows every week at the bigger farm, I gave it to the kids when I bought my new garden tractor 14 years ago! The LS 3037 should do just fine, I would see what the cash price is without your trade, the 1725 is a great tractor to hang on to or sell yourself for more than they are offering you, they are hard to find used, most folks wont part with them, they are are still handy even though the fel lift capacity is low.

Yeah, The ONLY complaints i have on my 1725 is the PTO is not independent and the loader is weak. Bush hogging it uses about 3/4 a gallon an hour. Quite a fuel miser!!!!!

Do you know how tall your dump trailer is? My 4047 has a bit more lift height than the 3037, but less clearance in the fully dumped position (deeper bucket?). I can load a small (6 wheel) dump truck, or 30yd rolloff, but that's about the limit. If I could change one thing, it would be to add maybe a foot to the lift height....but there are ways around it, and it doesn't come up often for me.
