anybody attached a hoe bucket on there loader???

i was thinking that my kubota l3830 has a heavy duty [723] loader and heavy duty 72" bucket so i was thinking i could make a 16" backhoe bucket fit on it[the loader] someway with some heavy duty brackets??anyone done this???

Hi...

If the loader has the skid-steer type quick attach feature... a mating quick attach frame with the backhoe bucket on it could be made and attached...

i didn't get the skid steer on the kabota,i should have though,we have about 300 ft of old concrete pipe maybee 8" dia. that we need to dig up and replace.the l3830 bucket wont quite get down that deep for us to remove the pipe.i weld and thought i could fabricate something off the top and bottom of the loader bucket and attach a say 16" backhoe bucket to it just for digging.sounds like nobodys done this maybee.might be better to rent.i am looking at the chinese backhoes because are use would be so limited.if i could afford it i,d get a bradco 509.if anyone has made any attachments for digging and has pic,s please post.thanks

One Yahoo's old Homebult Implement Club There used to be a fella that went by Roger Scotty. He had a small Yanmar with a loader and he mounted a 12 inche bucket to the bottom of his loader bucket for small trench jobs. I got to operate one such item built in the 50's for an liis Chalmers trackloader. It was on a long boom the replaced the bucket. THe curl was used to crowd and dump the bucket and the hoist to rais the load but you had to steer the loader to dump and either clutch it or put it in gear ll this was alot less easier that it is now manuvering a loader. To help crowd the bucket you could drive backwards and it loaded faster.
