If they have that kind of money then they may pull it off but time is better spent running a company then spending money and time in court.

Thanks for the info.

Looks like a big recall and a restructuring:

This program applies to the Raven MPV-710 sold between January 2013 and May 2013. This DOES NOT apply to the RAVEN MPV-7100 or MPV-7100S which are newly developed and upgraded machines.
Dear Consumer,
As you may be aware, Denver Global Products, in cooperation with the US Consumer Product Safety Commission, is recalling the Raven MPV-710. The reason for this is that we have identified some issues with these units that we believe present a potential safety hazard to the user. The nature of these issues is as follows;
  • The mower blades may detach during use, or start without being turned on. One minor injury has been reported.
  • The vehicle may also move forward inadvertently.
  • Some vehicles have been found to have leaking fuel lines.
We have been working hard to correct these issues and have made several other product improvements. We are in the process of re-launching the newly engineered machine as the Raven MPV-7100. Due to the issues with the old model, Denver Global Products would like to offer you a full refund of the original purchase price of your MPV-710.

What to Do
Please stop using the vehicle immediately. Turn off the key switch, remove the key, and apply the parking brake. For additional safety please remove the two fuses (Green & Yellow) from the white plastic fuse holders under the seat.
PLEASE CLICK ON THE LINK ABOVE TO REGISTER RAVEN MPV-710 FOR THE REFUND EXCHANGE PROGRAM. Once registered, a representative for Denver Global Products will contact you shortly to make arrangements for the refund of your unit. Alternatively you may return the unit to your nearest Lowes store.

Again, please DO NOT continue to use your Raven MPV!

Sounds like flakey electronics and cheap fuel lines...

I was all set to jump on one these when they were first available. Perhaps the new model will have a 220 outlet for those who need to hook up their welder. Now the price will probably be increased, too. All in all, if they get it right, I'll be ready to add one to my mowing arsenal.

I have had it for about 7 weeks now and only have 8 hours on it. I use the electric mode at lot kepts the hours low. One thing I miss is the knob for tilt wheel now you need a socked wrench for that. Steering still could be better but improved from the first one, blades do stay on no more flying off like mine did before. Better cold starts safety switch was improved, cloned Honda engine had carb replace much better more power, they also took away backup alarm, raised price by a grand, All in All it's up to par no more problems I don't see and 240 volts system for a long time to come if ever. It cuts great also steering wheel turns much greater then before because of this I think seat belt is needed. And because of speed and sitting high in air common sense is needed while driving it more so in cornering it while cutting. I believe the higher price will slow down the sales but it is a real machine and built strong with upper and lower a frame ,spring, shocks in front end. :thumbsup::cool2::)

Impressive. Thanks for the review. 17 MPH is faster than my 13 MPH EZGO cart. Having 120/240 volts where you need it like to air up a tire on a trailer down in the field would be awesome.

If I was wealthy I would have a place to park it and the money to buy it then it would be a MUST have toy even for the ATV/mobile generator features. :)

I too am considering the Raven hybrid mower/generator. Just called and Lowe's (Oregon) will special order. The best reviews I've found on the Raven is at TodaysMower.com | Research, Compare and Buy the Best Lawn Tractor or Zero Turn For You! . Paul Sikkema (web site guy) owns one and did a very nice review last year after unit was updated. Besides color, I'm trying to find out why the camo version 7100S is $500 bucks more than the other two models. Has to be more than the camo . . .
