Former Craps dealer, I have often wondered why a man would work all week for $800.00 And go to the craps table and win $1500.00 and not quit. He keeps playing and not only looses the $1500.00, but also the $200 he started with.
Former Craps player. I know exactly what you are saying. I used to play craps if the BJ tables were running hot for the house. Play low stakes, get into a hot streak, ride it up, as soon as two spreads are lost, am gone usually with their money. I made some good money at Craps and lost little. First you have to know the odds and then to stay away from the proposition bets. Front line and come box with all the odds allowed. After retirement I have pretty much stopped gambling as I no longer have the stake I used to when working. Hit the BJ tables once in awhile. We used to go to Nevada for the sole purpose of gambling. Used cash set aside for that and used only that with a daily limit on losses. W/O a bank roll you cant' quickly capitalize on hot streaks. Hard to catch up on a one day trip.
