...thought I'd share some of my families 06 & 07 rifle season deer harvest pictures.

Great pics and some awesome bucks!!! I love the mass of your mule deer, plus the height!!!! I got video of two muleys simar to that on a hunt in Eastern Montana a few years ago. I was really wanting width and passed them up at 100 yards. Now I think back on it and kick myself since it's so rare to see a mule deer with good mass and that sort of height.

Man, those are some nice animals you got out there.
Must be pretty nice to have a choice between the Muleys or Whitetails, especially that size. Those tall Mule deer reminds me of the ones I saw in Northern Utah a lot. Looks like your brother got a nice wide one. Do they interbreed out there sometimes?

Sometimes you will see interbreeding between the deer, usually it is the more agressive Whitetail buck taking a mule doe.

Around here, we don't need to hunt.

Just turn on your car at o'dark thirty, hit the high beams, come up to forty miles per hour, or so, and watch them stare you down.

Yep, wrecked the Chevy... twice in one week. Almost the same spot too...

I always thought of welding an I beam on the front and may be some rebar sticking out so you can hit them and carry them off at the same time.

Neighbors here think they are cute until the land rover hits one and they eat the $30000 in landscaping.

Saw something odd while sitting in the stand. I set up a distance from a large active scrape in hopes of getting a look at the buck that created it. I noticed movement and saw a gray and white cat approach the scrape. The cat smelled it then got on it's back and wallowed in the scrape for 5-10 seconds, then walked off. I have hunted many years but have never seen a cat wallow in a deer scrape. Just when you think you have seen about everything something new comes along. So far I have not had any luck but turkeys went to roost close to my stand, sure are noisy critters.

Was sitting in a tree stand and a grouse landed in the tree on the same branch and started feeding. Just sat real quiet and he was there about 10 min until he FELL out of the tree reaching too far for a bud!! Just too funny!!

Ya, sometimes I even quack myself up :D

Actually, I am not surprised there are so many deer hunters here(I like to hunt deer, antelope, pig). I am surprised though, that no other bird hunters have chimed in.
