Anybody know a Planet Jr collector?

I decided to let go of my antique Planet Jr cultivator and I need to know the best way to contact somebody who collects them.

Have you tried the Planet Jr. "Yahoo" group?
planetjr : Planet Jr Garden Tractors & Implements

Just realized the original was from '09, tractor is long gone by now. Anyway, the yahoo group can be a good source of info on these machines...if you can find your way through the yahoo interface.

If any of you fella's still have your Planet Jr. tractors, and interested in selling them, be aware, there are a lot of organic type produce gardeners finding that these, and the David Bradley's are the answer to weed eradication. They are gaining popularity all across the U.S. Guys are looking for units that are in somewhat decent shape, as far as rims not being rusted out from calcium, etc., engines that at least turn over, and have some compression, and has some attachments with them. Cultivators are a big item they are looking for. And, the above mentioned corn planter, from what I have seen are pretty rare, and could fetch a pretty decent price. Of course, non runners needing some TLC are sought for parts also, along with the attachments, especially cultivators for clamps, shovels & sweeps.

Not sure how many of you that have them do the Facebook thing, but there are a couple pages specific to Planet Jr. And do know, there are more than several collectors/users scouring Craigslist, Ebay, and local auction listings for them every day. Most are more then willing to pay shipping, and most suggest through Fastenal, as they offer shipping from store, to store at a really reasonable rate, compared to other modes of shipping. You just need to palletize the items.

This is not just limited to the tractors, but, also the push planters, and the wheel hoes. The double wheel hoes seem to be a hot items. And again, tooling with them makes a lot of difference on what they will bring.

Just throwing a bone out there to those that may still have them, and not having a use for them anymore. Or, it may give several of you ides to start using them again. It's pretty amazing to see how much ground some of these folks "farm" with these small tractors. Some are even making tooling of their own, from copies of wire weeders, to multiple row planters for intense, close row planting of certain vegetables.

Just throwing out a bone to those of you that may still have some PJ items laying around, and not being used.

So let's see, three frames with drivetrain, including 4 tires that hold air, two cultivator bars with coulters, two land plows, and a disc harrow, engines included but not original/running (but several I could pile together for parts sources)...maybe it is time I see what someone would offer me.
