Why did you need the head gear for a tractor application?

I am sure the plow could have easily been built without it. The advantage of using the head gear was that the plow itself needed no modification. Weld the head gear to the QA plate, attach the plow to the head gear just like you would on a truck and your ready to go. At the time, I also had thoughts in my head that I could use the QA plate with the head gear for other use's. One possible use that came to mind at the time was a light duty boom pole.
Make up a pole that used the same 3 attachment points as the plow.
I had also considered adding normal plow lights to the head gear just like on a truck. To date I have done neither.

7595brandon- Take it from me, do you really want a pusher or a plow ? Exactly how long of a driveway are you clearing ? I started out with a wooden snow pusher that I built and just strapped onto the FEL bucket. Its really easy to make. Just get some 2X12s and build an L with sides to hold onto the FEL. Strap it down with a rachet strap. Add a wood sacrifier to keep corner sharp. I posted a picture of one I built- but its covered with snow and hard to see how I built it. I'll have to dig it out this weekend and take better pictures to show how I made it for mine.

I think building one out of wood will get you started for the winter and convince you of what you really want for your tractor. It may tell you how much your tractor can handle in your area.
