Shows how old and confused I am getting. In retrospect you are right. The one we sent to the museum was the WWll version, Willys stamped in the front grill. I need to find a copy of the old TM for those. Probably on Ebay.

Remember the 1949 Birds egg blue Ford car that was a change from the turtle back fords built in '48
Also cannot remember but did it have the Naugahyde leather seats . the '52 models had?

Pity the Extinction of the Naughta animal in having to produce all those tough car seats for vehicles.
I do understand a few are in captivity Northern Missouri.

I saw a video on the replacement of the Humvee. Some Oshkosh company. Quarter million dollars a pop! I think they should go back to the old M151!

I was in the Army when we started transitioning from M151A1 to the HMMWV. The biggest issue for our Cavalry Troop was the the 1st Sergeant was going to lose “his” Jeep!

For our use more was better than better.

To the point of this thread, the driver’s weapon in an M60 tank was an M3A1 GreaseGun. They were on the books with a value of $3. We actually found an original M3 in the arms room, with the charging crank.

My issue pistol was a 1944 manufactured M1911A1.

I had a Plymouth Volare, the model that Richard Montoban sang Volere In the commercial.
I Purchased if from Hertz as a used vehicle only to discover it had been abused, like had wrapped around a pole. LOL they cancelled the balance of the lease so I got it for virtually peanuts.
Hertz claimed that it was the actual Volare from the commercial!

As a teen I had my share of VW's and remember gas at .36 cents (CDN GAL), LOL, showing my age!
