Anybody remove the funky FEL level indicatior?

I use mine to death. I'm very good at it too! I did just as the manual mentions and cut mine down. Someone here had an excellent idea about notching it as has been mentioned previously. There were pictures etc and the idea was pure genius. If I was going to keep my L3830, I would do the same.

I am going to have to cut mine off of my new 3830 before I bend it up, I bent the one up on the 3130 they let me try out... never quite looked the same again...

Here is a photo of the rod mod on my L3430. I got the idea from TBN this spring, I can't remember who posted it, but they get the credit for a great idea!

The rod is even with the top of the holder when the bucket is level. The slot allows you to see when it is close.

When I got mine it stuck way out so I cut it off flush with the end of the tube when the bucket is level. I have no idea why Kubota didn't come up with a better indicator. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Brent -- Thanks! That was the best explanation yet on how to determine where to cut.

I did as you suggested, but cut the bar at a slight angle and put a dollop of yellow paint on the cut end to make it more visible. Now if I can just keep it free of snow so I can see the darned thing!
