Anybody try the newer R14 tires?

You need to take into consideration that the R14T's are radial tires and the R4's are most likely bias.

The ballooning is evident, 12, 06, 03, and 09 O'clock, loaded or unloaded.

In my experience with turf and R4, turf have far more side resistance. Based on the video, I'd do with bar/turf. Cannot beat the toughness of the R4 though, but VERY rough riding.

I have r14t tires on my new m7060 with 140 hrs and I love them. The tractor came standard with a 6 ft bucket and the dealer upgraded to a 7 ft at my request. The tires do balloon some with the bucket full but not to the point that I would reconsider getting something else. My opinion of which tire to buy is this: Traction R1-Loader R4-Turf R3 but if you are looking for the tire that comes at number 2 in each of these categories then R14 is it plus they ride very smooth on the road. I bought a hd one shank subsoiler rated for minimum of 40 hp and and I need all 70 horses to pull it in my hard clay soil but no problem as far tire traction. I am considering purchasing a 3 cu yd dirt pan, if the tractor can handle it, I know the tires can

Any pictures of tractor so we can see how those tires look? I saw some on a JD 5000 series and they sure looked impressive.

On clean turf, with a short test, it shouldn't be surprising that a turf tire has the best traction. But it's not all about traction, and especially not only on firm short turf. You should consider your own intended use. How do these tires perform when in long pulls through soft soil, mud, snow, up inclines. How will the tread load with dirt/snow and lose traction after a few minutes. What about ride comfort if that's important to you, and road use etc. Lots to consider and no single correct answer.

I was more worried of bulging side walls and higher probability of flats. If doing heavy loader work or operation in wooded or rocky conditions R14s don't look like a option. More of a lawn and garden tire. A turf tire with a little better performance in snow.
