I honestly cant say!
Now like you I find it hard to flip a HST over backwards during normal use but when wording used to describe an accident used by a State trooper who I have known and helped raise since he was a little boy states "he flipped it over" opposed to "he rolled it over" I got the impression he did indeed flip it over backwards going up the hill but I honestly did not ask for specifics.

Paul, I apologize you have gotten a lot more certain in the last few days. Not ment to be a personal affront. :drink:

Please read post 86 and the link in post 113 (especially number 10).

You are absolutely correct that tractors are dangerous. So are meteorites and vehicle over 45mph.

Life can be very scary (It only ends one way!). The irony is that worrying about everything actually makes you MORE likely to have a mishap.

How many members do you think have one of these? I'm the only one?

It's an honest question? I think flipping is a very real concern with a geared tractor (although maybe not as deadly with modern ROPS and seatbelt). Ive just never even heard of someone flipping a HST tractor in this manner.

I'd more than willing to change my mind... but need something more than refusing to come to my funeral (although if I did die tomorrow from doing this you should come to the burrial. You'd be able to hear me laughing through 6ft of soil as I do love dark irony  :drink:).

Did you look at the 3 Point 2" receiver on EA?

I wish I could find the Polaroid my dad took of his M with the smoke stack driven into the ground. He was just the right combination of crazy & lucky. Happy Father's day Dad, miss you.

I don't think this is technically a hydrostatic:

What you are missing is the fact that I actually talked to my relative at a poker ride yesterday and confirmed that it did flip over backwards. What got my attention from this short conversation the most was his reaction to my description of your posts and apparent attitude toward my experience and the wisdom of most on this forum. Apparently where he is stationed now there seems to have been a good bit of tractor related accidents lately and the one I mentioned is just the first of many he has been called out for.

So while I await the next meteorites to come I will continue to operate my tractors just as I always have and avoid anyone having to make a trip out here to investigate my demise due to a tractor accident of any kind!

.

You need an article like that to tell me what?

I think you are misunderstanding my position here and are assuming I am one of those who operate my machine gingerly because I fear getting hurt on it. Fact is there is nothing further from the truth. I was never the type to succumb to fear of anything and since I was a little kid and the big overgrown bully tried to pick on me and make me move from "his seat" I have not given in to fear yet!
