I ran my MX10 3pt Lift Type cutter yesterday cutting my 40x800ft long steep bank & the side exhaust didn’t blow grass clippings at all.

So far I’m OK with the side exhaust option.

Glad to hear it's working out for your needs and so far no drawbacks. I'm a cherry farmer and want the side because the upright would be hitting limbs and fruit in some orchards. Seems it would be better for anyone in and around wood lots too, kinda surprised we don't see more of them . Thanks for your info and any more pros or cons are appreciated.

Side exhaust is pretty popular here for us poultry growers & Peach Orchards down in South Georgia.

Brown dog , could you post a picture of your 5115m with the side exhaust and loader mount? The dealer I'm buying mine from doesn't think it can be done for some reason so guess I need some proof. Thank you, B

That pic was from a new 2020 5115ML (lo pro) Open Station on a JD lot.

My 2018 5115M Open Station may be a lil different idk.

IDK if a Cab makes a slight difference or not

Thanks BD, yeah I sent both the lot tractor picture and yours in your barn to my dealer. I think they were concerned with tire clearance of front tire, what size is on yours and about how much clearance between your tire and muffler? The tractor that I've ordered has the 380/70/24 fronts . Both the lot tractor and yours have a little smaller it appears. Also I did the build your own on jd website w the tires on mine and all other options and it did not throw up the red flag that it wouldn't work. Not sure about the cab interfering but I don't think that's an issue. Thanks for your help

380/70-24 are same as 14.9-24 & they are 45” tall

I have 12.5/80-18 R4 fronts & I THINK they are 37” tall going off memory.

I’ll have to look at mine for the clearance but I’d think you’ll be fine.

Thanks for those dimensions , that exactly what I was needing . So my bigger tire would add about 4" towards the muffler which by your two pics appears theirs about 8-10 clearance with the smaller tires, leaves plenty I would think. I'm suppose to talk with there mechanic today so just wanted to have some info. Thanks again
