Anyone else have an unusually large number of hummingbirds this year?

The Rufous hummingbirds arriving from the south caught me a little off guard. What happened to winter? I am putting out around a quart every other day now and increasing.

Yes, around here, the hummingbirds adore any water spray, but especially in direct sun. It seems like they are on the spray in seconds after I start spraying something.

Have you thought about a drip irrigation spray nozzle set to very fine spray? The trouble that I have had with pin holes is that the holes seem to plug fairly frequently. That might be a dirt/water quality item.

Home Depot and Lowes have a wide selection.

on those two, plus Amazon, which has a wider selection, but occasionally I've bumped into sub-par quality.
