Anyone else notice a rash on new posters with one line comments?

A reason for this is the predominant lack of coherence and substantiveness within threads. A poster reading thru one will find so much diversion and incorrectness that there is no way to draw the non nonsense information into one cohesive post without using significant time. ... So if anybody actually invests the time to try, a one liner "good job/explanation" is an expression of appreciation and support. Then, discouragingly, the good info is not incorporated constructively into the babble; instead receding behind it and losing its value to popular incorrect opinion based stuf and off subject diversion. The substantive post has become a spit to the wind.

As long as it's not into the wind your ok.

They are all over TBN and all seem to have been created at about the same time. Comments among others are..."nice pic's", "post more pictures", "well none", "nice job"...etc.

Any clue where these are going or their purpose? Kinda feel like the guy on Alien at the dinner table scene.....sumptin is crawling around inside here.

if that the the worst they do ?

Often I suspect some use the one or two word post simply suscribe to the thread.
I have been guilty a few times.

Thread tools, just above the posts, lets you subscribe w/o posting.

I'm not a doctor, but I've never heard of posting a one liner causing a rash. Maybe shingles if they get upset enough. :). New members are hesitant to post on topics they know little about, but a simple one liner never hurt and see no harm. Everyone does it. I see no need to make a big deal about it. It could intimidate new members from posting.

I noticed that once Waldon's articulating tractor was in the newsletter, that thread took off with a huge run-on of new members posting "great job" type posts. For many it was their first post. I saw it on I think the first page, it went to about 3 pages and kinda died out for a few days. Then I got an email pointing it out and all of sudden about 4 pages were added in a day of mostly new members.
