I think they are used to that though. I've heard about that "Lake effect".It sounds as though Buffalo NY is getting a lot of winter real soon.

My brother lived in western N.Y. for many years, right at the edge of those lake effect storms. They were highly localized. A few miles to the west of him they'd get a couple feet, he might get an inch or two, sometimes nothing.I think they are used to that though. I've heard about that "Lake effect".
I sub contracted for a company which had me laying out wood in New York years ago. They told me they don’t cut wood around Tug Hill in the winter because wood the guys cut in the morning was buried in snow by afternoon.
