Anyone else seeing signs of an early winter?

In layman’s terms December will average colder and snowier overall

I'm good with that.

Trouble is, these long term predictions are highly theoretical and inaccurate. I'll believe it when I see it.

I think they are used to that though. I've heard about that "Lake effect".

My brother lived in western N.Y. for many years, right at the edge of those lake effect storms. They were highly localized. A few miles to the west of him they'd get a couple feet, he might get an inch or two, sometimes nothing.

I sub contracted for a company which had me laying out wood in New York years ago. They told me they don’t cut wood around Tug Hill in the winter because wood the guys cut in the morning was buried in snow by afternoon. Skidders don’t even like that much snow
