I don't doubt that you like your M's. Being boastful about putting diesel particulates into the atmosphere is curious.

I looked at the EPA's list of regulations they may potentially roll back. It's right on their web site. The only one I can find that would apply to diesel vehicles is for Greenhouse Gas Emissions Standards for Heavy-Duty Vehicles – Phase 3, which would have begun with model year 2027. It's a future regulation not a current one. And not for pickups or the tractors most of us use.

I have seen some people on the internet claim that the EPA is removing emissions regulations for diesel pickups. Mostly on youtube, where if you get views by making fantastic claims you get paid more. But I can't find any actual published words that even remotely resemble a rollback of existing regulations.

The rest of the emissions rollbacks are enabling corporations to pollute more. The usual giveaway to the super rich. They get the profits, we get the cancer.
In California it may be a bigger deal if California can no longer enforce more restrictive carve outs.

Where did you get the information that says regenerating at 50 hours is to often ?
Mine seems to usually regenerate around 50 hours, seems fine to me , I actually thought that’s what it was supposed to do.
Sir, in China, every 200 hours of engine regeneration, the engine manufacturer will be scolded:oops:

The manufacturer's guarantee is that as long as you use the big throttle to work, you will never need to regenerate, but it is best to park the car once a year

。。。。

The one thing I dislike the most about my mx5200 is the DPF system because it makes it difficult to run the tractor at an idle for something like running a forestry winch at low RPM without having to run a regen cycle at higher RPM later as a consequence. Having an emissions system that depends on running the tractor at a higher rpm just to generate heat to burn off particulates in the filter is just so messed up.
If you have a diesel engine with aftertreatment, if you use it at idle speed, it will increase the frequency of regeneration, which is very disgusting

The most irrational thing about after-processing is that they ignore diesel vehicles that often need to idle to work

It does it around 50 hours in the winter and more like 70 hours in the summer.
Maybe our emission standards are not as strict as imagined, so the diesel here will be regenerated at least once in more than 200 hours, if you have been working at the high throttle, you do not need to regenerate, the vehicle will have burned the soot particles in the after-processing when working

Obviously a lot has changed Government wise in the USA
I was in the market for a new tractor (I have a 2015 Kioti 6010 now that I like) but wanted to step up to a bigger tractor
Long story short I’m waiting to see if any expected EPA announcements on tractor exhaust deregulation is coming
I heard it is very soon for trucks

I would settle for a delete kit at this point.

I’m pretty convinced after today companies will take all this emission garbage off

It’s obviously wanted, once one does they all will do for competition purposes

Nobody is going to buy a emission laced engine unless they have to

There’s plenty of ways to get cancer. Like smoking, overconsumption of alcohol, eating too much processed food, being 50lbs overweight, smoking a suitcase full of weed every month….

Yet those are all perfectly legal. So why the hell should my equipment have to be near ZERO emissions, but people can voluntarily give themselves cancer through many other legal means?

How about some balance here? Howcome every piece of equipment I buy with a diesel engine over 25 frickin HP has to have $5,000 + of emissions crap piled on it, which BTW, also breaks later and must be repaired at even more cost, not to mention lower reliability?

Then we have to listen to virtue signalers, who don’t use equipment to farm, mine, saw, construct, etc. spew their garbage about “cancer” caused by us.

This has gone far enough. Air quality if fine and has been cleaned up considerably. People need to start being personally responsible and stop making anyone who uses machinery for a living foot the bill for their virtue signaling causes. People like me who run equipment are tired of the bullseye being on us. We’ve done a LOT to help clean up the air.

I don’t want rolling coal or dirty air either, just some mentally stable balance in the way we go about regulations on people and the way they make a living.

Ya, and I live in Montana with plenty of tractors and there is zero dirty air

Tractors ain’t the problem, packed cities are

Coal dust was a problem but they pretty much have that taken care of, Grand father worked the mines shift boss. WV.. City carbon and smoke was a problem also. Pitts. Pa. was the worst! Now they have that cleaned up pretty much along with the Automobile emissions. I stay old school simple and easy. Keep up with Maint. and repairs and they can keep the Electronics. Major field work and Farming is understandable though! IMo.
