Right. Nobody is saying wind-back the clock to days of belching black coal smoke and children working in factories. lolCoal dust was a problem but they pretty much have that taken care of, Grand father worked the mines shift boss. WV.. City carbon and smoke was a problem also. Pitts. Pa. was the worst! Now they have that cleaned up pretty much along with the Automobile emissions. I stay old school simple and easy. Keep up with Maint. and repairs and they can keep the Electronics. Major field work and Farming is understandable though! IMo.
Like Maine adapting California emission standards?I love how congested cities pass on all of the solutions for pollution to the people trying to grow their damn food in the uninhabited country

I think it depends on the kind of after-processing. Most big diesels today use an after-treatment that injects fluid into the exhaust stream. They idle just fine.If you have a diesel engine with aftertreatment, if you use it at idle speed, it will increase the frequency of regeneration, which is very disgusting
The most irrational thing about after-processing is that they ignore diesel vehicles that often need to idle to work
I wish we had kept industry and manufacturing here, too. But we didn't. And now that we have given it away I doubt we can bring it back.Right. Nobody is saying wind-back the clock to days of belching black coal smoke and children working in factories. lol
But let’s chill on dumping virtually all of the regulations on truckers, farmers, manufacturers, etc.
We need to bring back industry and manufacturing, not give it all away to China.
The DEF injection systems on modern commercial diesel powered trucks remain issue prone and expensive to repair as well.I think it depends on the kind of after-processing. Most big diesels today use an after-treatment that injects fluid into the exhaust stream. They idle just fine.
