I could see this happening in winter but it should not be a problem in summer, the 46 is a 15 wt oil. I would contact High Ranger they were very helpful to me a few years ago with hose specs. CJ

I contacted terex which now owns hi ranger aw 46 is a 20w oil, port holes in valves from pistol grip are small, fluid is too thick to pass fast so bucket controls are slow or dont work

AW32 is approximate a 10wt oil, AW46 is app a 15wt oil and AW68 is app a 20wt oil. Trans fliud is about a 7.5 wt. If you feel this will fix the problem go with whatever is cheapest. Just a FYI dextron 2/3 is the only oil Dennision recommends for their piston units, that is what I would use if you go with trans oil. Let us know the results. CJ

ATF? I have heard hi ranger oemm fluid is mil spec 5606, but at fluid change they use atf due to cost, my neighbor has a 1976 hi ranger and uses hy tran $32 for 5 gallons

Dextron 2 or 3 I think they are up to 4 now, it is a GM auto trans fluid. Didn't you post say they suggested it? CJ
