Anyone have a MechMaxx 3-pt stump grinder?

How important is removing all that side play for those that have used the fixed mount grinder?

if you get aggressive and let it bounce, things start moving around pretty good, otherwise it barely moves

I agree. I also have pins in the 3pt adjustors, and it really has not been a problem. Once you sort of learn how big of a bite to take and the depth, it just sits there and chips the stump without any drama.

It baffles me how anyone can make a product like this for $990. I get it, they are using cheap Chinese labor, but so are some of their their competitors. There is a fair amount to these things. Have they changed the design from what they were originally selling?

Hard to resist. I paid close to that amount when I had a contractor come out and grind a few stumps for me a couple of years ago. I just placed an order.

Patience is a virtue. Take small bites and pass the time by thinking about how much harder it would be doing it by hand....

Pro Tip: If your loader joystick is anywhere close to your knee, be sure to use the lockout so you are not accidentally digging up the grass in front of you while turned around watching the grinder doing its thing.

As mentioned in my previous post, I ordered the SG24 earlier today. I got an acknowledgement right away from PayPal that the payment went through, but so far no email from MechMaxx acknowledging the order. (Fortunately, I did save screen shots of the order.)

Did others get an acknowledgement from MechMaxx and an order number when they ordered?

I'm wondering if it is a fake site. The link posted was for Mechmaxusa.com

The other links were for Mechmaxx.com

Time for me to get on to paypal and see if I can undo the purchase.

Just called Mechmaxx at the phone number listed on their REAL website (mechmaxx.com)

The other site (mechmaxusa.com) - the one listing their stump grinder for $990 is a SCAM
