I have a blueeddi 2400 watt solar generator. It's fantastic.
I use it at my cabin.
That sounds perfect for your cabin. I wish they made affordable units for whole house use that could last through our long and frequent outages, which usually happen in the winter when solar production is low.
Don't know how it works in the US but here if the power from the grid fails the solar stops too, the inverter uses the grid as a reference to get the ac running the same and is also a safety feature so you don't fry linesmen who have cut the power to undertake maintenance work.
That's how "grid tied" units work. No grid, no solar power. The vast majority of solar installs in the US work the same way. The grid is your battery, which is simple and easy until a wire goes down.
