anyone here own an econotig?

I bought one and was away for sometime before I got it out of the box. The tig side has never worked properly, no power. I sure does a nice stick job though. Still I bought it for the tig but too late to turn it in on warranty.

-rb- not to hijack the thread but could you describe the setup you used for tig? Maybe I can help.

I just set it up like the book says as far as the switches go. barely has enough arc to make a mark muchless make anything of a puddle.

SIR,
are you sure you have the machine in the correct
mode, for TIG? there is a switch that has to be moved
for each operation, and it sounds like the machine is in
the stick mode, when you are trying to TIG weld.

Also where did you set the amps at (0 - 100%) large center knob? Also did you get the thumb control or the foot control? If I can get a chance I'll get a picture of my setup.
