Anyone in the Gun Sights of the big Storm?

I would be very concerned about roofs collapsing especially if it's as wet as you guys are saying, those roofs have never been put to that kind of acid test before. older compromised ones could possibly give in and power failures are almost certain if it turns out as bad as they say.

Hunker down, make a fire in the fireplace, try and enjoy it, it can be beautiful. Well that's as long as your roof don't cave in  maybe before you relax to much, pull a little snow off your roofs, especially if you have lower pitched roofs where drifting snow may build up even deeper and heavier.

JB.

That's a good warning on the roofs.

We had a barn collapse up the street from last week's storm. However, this barn was over 100 years old and needed to come down. The owner was hoping that the insurance would give him something when this happened. I should take a picture if this.

At present time guessing we have 11-12" .We're in the 12" range I believe we will go way past the 12+ mark...Storm isn't suppose to be out of the area till noon -2pm tomorrow...
It is still snowing and blowing like crazy.
Thankful I bought the blower at the beginning of season. It is working like a charm !!

I just went out and measured 14" on the picnic table back deck. It is a wet heavy snow. I had to pull my Ranger out of a snow bank already and had to tow my car in off the road at the top of the drive already with the tractor. They are calling for 12-16" additional tonight.

We are stocked up on fuel food and all the other essentials. I have no idea what to expect tomorrow morning. Should be fun! -Keith

The bad part about wet snow is the weight. It really adds up quick.

Wet snow is what we usually get. last winter we got a nice dry snow about 24" deep. I had to laugh when my daughter tried to make and throw a snowball at her brother. It disintegrated in mid air. Then she turned to me and said "Daddy, this snow is broken!".

Weeeeeeell we have here our 16 inches plus. Not sure, didn't run around with a measuring tape. But I had a nice skin dip and roll in the snow, it was just perfect for that purpose:D:D

I give up for the night. I'll have to wait till tomarrow during the day. Maybe even sunday. Without chains my lil BX24 is just slippin' & slidin'. This stuff is too wet. Just a small grade and she slides. I had to use the winch on the fourwheeler again this season. Had to hook the four wheeler up my truck. I didn't think it was gonna pull it up the hill, the lights shut off, the 750 started sputterin' & poppin'. I let go of the button, the lights came back on, and the BX was free. After knockin' that heavy stuff off my tractor tent, I pulled her in for the night,.. er.. morning. Time for a long deep sleep. Hope my snoring doesn't wake y'all up:D.

24" so far on the deck, but hard to tell the actual amount with the blowing and drifting.

If that's a picnic table next to the Weber, that is hilarious.:D You must not have had a lot of wind for the snow to accumulate perfectly like that. Thanks for the picture.:)
