Anyone in the Gun Sights of the big Storm?

It's all over here (southern PA). 31 inches but no real problems. Power stayed on, driveway clear and roads plowed. I hear there is some drifting in toward town but I have no reason to go anywhere tonight...

..most of the folks in this area pretty much take it in stride...luckily it seems like everyone was well prepared...

The Kawasaki wasn't able to pull it out. What ended up getting it out was laying down a set of chains for my truck wedged under the rear tires. Winston is looking for a place to drop a load. I've got the loader ready to scoop it up when he's done:D. There's a Chevy pick up in the second picture, and Prius in the third along with a 5 by 8 utility trailer. Also notice the portable garage has a bit of snow next to it. That's from my knocking off the top several times throughout the storm.

I really like TrafficLand.com for present time viewing of other areas. TrafficLand.com -- Norwich, CT

The first two are from the snowed in areas, the last is a few miles from me.

Man some of you really got walloped, definitely need tire chains for that amount of snow if you want to be able to move.
I haven't heard anything about the amount of people without power today (Sunday, noon) but I'm sure it's many thousands.

Was a record breaker for many areas, already heard of some roof/building collapses, most likely building codes will change now to take into account for this type of potential snow loading.

Stay safe and put up some pictures when you catch your breath.

JB.

It's that wet snow. Us northwesterners can testify... it gets real heavy, real quick. A lot more slippery that that dry stuff too.

I just got in from the driveway. It took eight hours. I don't have chains, so multiple passes (multiple is the word I am looking for :) ) were needed. I used the FEL and blade on the 7800.

It's over 4 feet in some areas. crazy.

My wife and I just finished shoveling our driveway. I gotta give it to her. She is a tough woman. I also climbed up on the roof. Not a good idea. The pitch is high enough to slide off 'cause of the ice below the snow. I ended up jumping off into a big pile I raked off. Good times. I only got a little bit off the roof, but I just kept looking at that ladder and the railings on the deck, and decided I didn't want to break my neck sliding off. Heads up. If you guys wanna make some money here's an insider's recommendation. Buy stock in Tylenol. I'll be taking a lot of it:D.
