Because this came back up.

While watching a video or looking at some picture a while back I notice that the spring clip was on the inside of the deck, toward the tractor, not on the outside as they came from the dealer. Curious I did some more looking and the parts breakdown on on the deck clearly shows the pins installed in this direction. Even harder to put in and take out like this but protects the spring clip more from things that might snag it and pull it out.

Hube, my clips are also facing inboard as diagram shows. and yet I still lost one LOL
these same clips are also used on the mower deck lift arms (2 of them) under tractor. stopped at dealer saturday they still had 0 stock (I bought them out other week) so they ordered some and I will grab and keep 6 on hand here.

Not saying it's not possible, but I had a better chance of loosing one with them in the other way as the dealer delivered it. Especially on the left side where I did loose one, likely at the edge of my property somewhere where there is a lot of scrub.
