I agree with Mike. I have 14 hours on my L3410 and completely love it. You won't regret buying one.

Count me in, I have 50 hours on my L3410 and it is rock solid, smooth and when has more than enough power. The build quality and fit are everything I expected from Kubota. I'm ready for my 50 hour service so I can't comment on ease of service, but from other post it shouldn't be too bad. I tried to think of any thing lacking and my mind goes blank, guess the folks at Kubota thought out the L's fairly well.

I've never seen a folding rops up close, but my solution to rattles with pins and other things in other applications is a little wrap of electrical tape.

I think most of the "rattling ROPS" comes from ones that were assembled incorrectly. Mine has a set of washers on the inside between the folding member and the stationary member. The bolts that it pivots on are castleated, and are relatively snug. To fold up/down takes a fair amount of force (i.e. it won't fall when bent in a 45 degree angle. I would estimate that it takes at least 15 pounds of force to move it.
