Buying Advice Anyone Regret buying a Tractor with a Cab?

Don't have a cab on mine but I enjoy the open tractor. Have rented a few pieces of equipment that have cabs and never used the AC. Had to keep all the windows and door open but that's because your in and out a bit. In the NW it would be okay for when it rains really hard. Since we don't have a lot of dust either I guess I don't mind not having one.

I was hoping for some feedback on if anyone regrets getting a tractor with a factory cab on it.. I really like the idea of being out of the weather.

You see a lot of cabs on orchard tractors around here--it's a safety thing when spraying insecticide. Those cabs must be hermitically sealed because the drivers don't wear hazmat suits like they would without the cab.

Cabs can be a lifesaver in another way. A few years ago a guy operating a TLB in southern CA was stung by a swarm of those killer bees--died of shock. If I were working large fields with a tractor, I'd get a cab with A/C for sure.

Our only regret is not getting a cab sooner. Do not regret trading up st all. The tractor gets used year round, so if you want to break it down to ROI, you will see the return.

Go for it!

I have a couple older bigger tractors with factory cabs and working AC, but I take the windows out doors off and remove the front window. The side and rear were made to be removed or opened the front wasnt.
Ive seen few ac units that can keep me cool enought (working) so I use the cab in winter and the shade in the summer.

No regrets. Cold, hot, rain or wind...... I don't care once I'm inside my cab.

Let me see..... NO NO NO NO NO

oh, did I tell you NO hehe

I just loved being warm and dry last winter. the first time in 14 years of snow plowing/blowing. Last fall i used the A/C while mowing & harrowing my 10 acre horse pasture..that was nice also... Not to be outdone by the time i excavated the underground wasp/hornet nest in the manure pile......they couldnt bite me.

cabs with a/c and heat are golden. The haters are the ones that didnt get one with a cab  Honestly, nobody on here that bought a factory can with alll the bells and whistles is gonna say they regretted buying a cab. the only responses that are gonna be negative are the people with no cabs or the ones that have aftermarket cabs with no A/C or people with old units and crap a/c's that dont work well. I can understand the ones with no a/c becuase even with the cab doors off, there gonna be hot in there during the summer.

Also, underground yellow jacket nests are a pain when you have no cab and you actually have to jump off the tractor and run like h.el.l. and return after dark to get your tractor becuase 1000's of bees are all over it

All depends on what you are using it for. Around my 18 acres where I am constantly on and off I would not think of having a cab. Growing up on the farm i sure appreciated it when we got a cab and then a nicer one. My Ford 1710 is small enough that I can reach almost any control from behind the tractor or on either side of the rear wheel, which means that if I need to adjust something I do not need to get in the cab. But then i am doing things around my property and not field work such as today where I had a trailer hooked up to it and I was picking up some downed branches. I would drive a little and get off for a branch then back on, then another branch, etc. - probably 40 times or so - much easier without a cab. Yesterday I was trimming a couple of trees and I climbed right over the steering wheel along the hood and up into the bucket to get to the limbs.

Also it really isn't cold here in the winter. When you get too far north and it is 20 below plus wind a cab is sure nice but I have not seen a below zero day here in a long time. Plus I do a lot of firewood and it is really handy to be able to drive through the trees and get right next to the tree I am cutting. With a cab I would have a much harder time doing this.
