I'm thinking of buying a PTO link for my CX2510. I'm not sure whether to get the SD or compact. If anyone uses one I'd appreciate hearing which you bought and if you're happy with it.
I'd be using it for my flail mower at this point. Thanks.

Depending of what you are powering, there's a pto shaft involved which needs to have it's midpoint centered over the drawbar hitch center for best/smoothest operation. This preserves equal angles on the Cardan joints at both ends of the pto shaft. If this practice is NOT followed, you get a 2 per rev vibration that increases in amplitude, the more you turn.

So now you add a pto extender framed as a quick connect. Now think about where the new driveshaft center goes. You'll need to extend the drawbar the same amount in order to prevent or minimize damage to the usual victim (the transmission). Additionally, you may be likely to wrongly blame the vibration on the quick coupling.

Just sayin' ...

Yes, it will compensate for the inches added with the Pat's easy connect. Thanks for pointing that out.
