Anyone use this "quick connect"?

I have been watching both of the 'alternative' ez hitch/quick connects on ebay for a few weeks now.. I am pretty much leaning toward the $54 set (original post) - especially since it includes the spreader bar..

Someone in another post mentioned that he could not use the one shown above because his tiller would not allow the use of the 'stops'..

That was me. The "stops" stick up too much to allow use with our tiller and backhoe, so I ordered a set off of ebay that are almost exactly the same, but don't have the extended stops. They've been awesome so far. I paid about $55 a set, shipped to my house. For a fourth of the price, I don't mind dropping a grade 8 bolt and keeper pin in the hole, especially since I have to get off to hook up the top link and PTO anyway.

Anyone tried this quick connect system? It also has a gauge rod to keep the arms adjusted to the implement. It is about a 1/4 of the cost of the one advertised here.

I just installed a very similar quick attach system on my tractor. Slight difference in that mine doesn't have the big metal riser but otherwise the system looks identical. I'll have to look up the manufacturer but I think it was EZ Link or something like that.

I had trouble installing mine only because the x!@#$%^ manufacturer did not bother including a couple of simple toplink pins in the package which are required. As a result I had to make a separate trip and then when I installed them the toplink pins did not match the washers provided so the implement fell off. Two trips later they were finally installed properly. What should have taken 2 minutes to install ended up taking two extra trips to a tractor supply store due to poor directions/failure to include a couple of cheap pins/washers though.

I am not exactly enthusiastic about these quick attach devices but it is mostly because of the installation hassle. It actually only should take one minute to install them if the correct parts are provided in the package. They do work though in my case there is no spacer bar holding the 3pt arms apart so I need to watch that as I back up under the implement. They do avoid the usual bashing and kicking necessary to line up pins with the 3pt and they provide a secure attachment so in that sense they are fine.

I bought these exact hitches off ebay. I have had wonderful luck with mine all the parts were included and the spreader bar was a nice option too. I really like them so far. Very Very heavy materials....I ordered them and had them at my door in two days. O just one word of advice....Dont gorget to take the spreader bar off after you hook your bush hog up....hahah....see where this is going....I forgot and raised the hog off the ground.....bent thepeice that slides in and out of the spreader bar. Hope this helps in your decision....

There is also another one on ebay that is about 1/2 the price of Pats. Both of these have shortcomings such as using cotter pins and smaller clip pins, but for the price they may just work fine (I don't have either but am looking at them as well).

I really don't understand (and am not complaining) how the PEC system costs just as much or more than a complete QuickAttach frame system. Less metal, lighter, smaller, etc.....yet more expensive?

I have this quick disconnect for my Cat II Kama 554. It works even on a post hole digger, but there is a lot of play in the mount of the disconnect on the lift arms. So there is a lot of wear on the quick disconnect.

Of the two quick connects (other than Pat's) shown in this thread one appears to extend the lift arms, while the other connect coupling appears to sit above the lift arms. Does anyone have an opinion on which style would be preferable, and why?

It would seem to me that the one from Carter (the one that has the connect above the lift arm) might not cause the same concern about the PTO shaft length that the other might.

I too ordered have received mind. To replace the pins and bolts that makes up the quick disconnect is a minimal cost compared to the time spent having to change implements.

I just bought the Carters version that sits on top of the lift arms. My thought was that this totally avoids the need for a longer top link or PTO shaft of the other versions - which it does without any problems in this area.

My only problem so far is excess play in the hitch attachment to lift arms previously mentioned here.......and don't forget that because of the extra height you need to make sure your attachments are not sunk too far into the ground or the lift arms/hitches will be too high to make a connection.

Just how many of you have had to add a PTO extension when you have used Pats (or a similar knock off)?? I am especially interested in someone with a JD 2320.

I have a Kioti CK20 and did not need an extension.
