Mr White,

I am sorry, your eyes are OK. I guess you didn't see the previous post where they are sending them out with the spring loaded latches and photo copying our instructions (with our name still on them). Then people are thinking they are getting PEC, because that is the name and phone number on the instructions. Would be like Ford sending their warranty problems to Chevy.

I did see the part about them sending your instructions with their products, which is pretty doggone low, in my opinion. But seeing the picture in the first post, I couldn't figure out how your instructions would help anyone with their product. From what you are saying, they have changed their product from what was shown in the picture, to something even closer to what you make.

Man, you really should go after them, if this is what they are doing. That is just unreal. If people buy these and are pleased, they will praise them. If people buy them and are unhappy, you are the one they will call to complain, since your phone number is on the instructions. I'd be pretty darned honked-off too!

If this is an example of their business practices, you have helped me eliminate one potential source for a quick hitch.

Thanks Pat.

Pat I noticed that you mentioned you have the ones for the montana tractors. What is different about them versus ones for other models ?

Thanks, Pat.

I guess I was thinking of the ones in the picture of the first post in this thread. Those look to only have a bolt held in place by a pin of some sort on the "hook" part, and another pin that goes through the eyes of the tractor's lift arms.

Maybe the picture doesn't show everything. Or perhaps its time for me to get new glasses.

Tom,
The member that got the PEC knockoffs was "thatguy", not the original poster which showed a different system. See thatguys post, #29 and #34 in this thread.

Dieselmh,
Yeah I can cut some metal for the one impliment but no mods will work on the other. So I'll probably do just that, and your right they do come off pretty easy.

gemini5362,

The Montana tractors lift arms are a lot taller, because of the ball bracket. We had several trail and errors before we got them right. But since we make them right here and not cast over seas, we can accomadate our customers. Ours work a lot better on John Deeres also, because of the set screws you can level them up. The lift arms on John Deeres turn so if you can't level them up it would be pretty hard to just back up and hook. We also sell weld on units for tractors that the ball has worn out. Just cut off the end of your lift arms and weld on the hooks. If anybody can think of anything else to make it easier, we are always listening.

Good morning Pat,

Thanks for all the information about the PEC and how to get in touch with you and your company. I just ordered your system and can't wait to use it on my JD 2305 as switching attachments has been more than a little time consuming upon occasion. It's refreshing to know that you are available to answer questions about the system and to handle any potential problems (not that I expect there will be any).

corsa1966,

I really enjoyed talking with you this morning. They are on their way, the UPS man just pulled out of the driveway. Keep in touch and let us know how everything is working out for you.

Check out this :

Welcome Home

I guess he doesn't do quick hitches anymore. He was all the rave a couple of months ago, but I guess he closed up shop.

Pat, that link doesn't work. Did the guy selling his stuff with your instructions change businesses again?

The link worked for me. It went to "180 results" consulting firm. Is he "consulting" now? Consultants are bigger thieves than copyright infringers!

I have been thinking about trying some quick connects just to get the implements further from my tires. My lift arms don't extend out much past my R4 tires on my Mahindra 4110. I have also considered just lengthening the lift arms 3". As far as the toplink goes, I always seem to need my hydraulic toplink retracted to 17". I would be able to use more of the 10" cylinder stroke then too.

He was the first guy that started selling the copies. I think he had his cast in Texas and couldn't compete with the overseas guys. There was a couple discussions about his "Quick links". I am still here and plan on being here for a long time. I just worry about these guys giving all quick hitches a bad name.

I've had a set of the Pats Easy Change for about three years now and I haven't found anything negative about them. They are well made, work like they are supposed to, make changing immplements faster and easier. I believe you would find it money well spent and the people at Pats are friendly helpful folks, I'm not affiliated with them in any way, just a satisfied customer.
If you do order a set, be sure and ask for some extra bent washers, they'll ccome in handy, they'll know what you're talking about.
