I also noted a similar one on Amazon for less, but I'm pleased with HF's return policy.

I bought one for around the house. I used it a couple times and then one day it powered on and looked like an old tube TV with the picture controls all out of whack. I later noticed sometimes if I turn it on then off and on again the picture goes back to normal. The snake on it is pretty stiff but it was handy trying to see up in a floor joist. I may have cut a water line had I not inspected first.

Did you get the High def w/ recorder?
If so have you looked at the battery?
The one being sold by Autel Autel MaxiVideo MV400 Video Scope now supposedly is powered by 4 AA batteries.
And autointhebox.com is selling the Li-ion variant for $140 WITH both a 5.5 AND 8mm head.

No I have the basic one, that thumbnail looked like mine. I won't buy anything electronic from HF again. I've gotten burned twice on electronic gadgets.
