Anything happen to Epic Contributor 5030?

I think this thread is a fitting tribute to 5030. Many cultures have a tradition of mildly roasting those that have passed with stories about something funny they may have done. Also, he was as good as any of us at creating thread drift.

My favorite memory of 5030 was his tendency to hop into threads just to point out that he didn't do that...thread for tips on baking sourdough..."I don't eat sourdough. Pumperknickel is the only good bread" [dramatization, no actual thread on bread].

Raise your virtual glasses and drink a toast to our fallen comrade. He may have sometimes been a PITA, but he was our PITA.

Ok, Ok, maybe I do have a funny story about our PITA. We were looking to buy a new SUV and do live were its snows so that's a consideration. He jumped in and said something like "that SUV is no good in snow and I wouldn't get that! We live in the same weather pattern here, and I drive a X vehicle". So I looked up his location and found there average snowfall to be 50" or less. We average 230" here. Ya, it was pretty much the same.

You are comparing apples to oranges. His snow was more dense, wet, slippery, and white than yours.
