I used a 2 7/8" pipe with slot cut in it. Works fairy well. Have used 2 season, looks like it will last for awhile too.
I may use the fel to clear my blacktop driveway...any good way to cover the steel edge of the fel so it doesn't scrape up my blacktop

Metal pipe or PVC? If metal, how did you cut the slot? Using a grinder would take a while to cut a 6' slot!

Johnny Scheele makes great products. This snow shoe happens to be a 50" model which should fit your bucket.
I have a JP bucket jr that I've had for years now. No complaints at all. Good quality construction.
