Will this app ever receive updates?

There are things I like about it but there are more I don't.

Off the top of my head the dislikes are...

1) If I edit a post all paragraph structure is lost, and the edit becomes a wall of text.

2) If I try to upload more than one pic at a time I get a grey screen with no option to return from where I've came. Only choice is to close app and start over.

Eg, Write post, go to pics on phone, select more than one photo, try to insert, freeze.

I can however, write post, go to pics, select one photo, insert, post, edit post, reinstate paragraph structure (see 1), go to pics, select photo, insert, repost.

3) When starting some posts, in certain places, you are given the choice to add a sub heading or what ever to the title. On the app you can not click the link to do so, or do anything else. Again, you can't even return to where you came from. The only choice is to close app.


Am I the only one?

I've deleted and reinstalled the app multiple times with no luck.

It wasn't always like this. I used to add multiple photos without a problem.

It used to not be this way.

The current app (Forumrunner) isn't going to be updated. It was sold and the new owner doesn't seem interested in updating things.
Muhammad spoke a while back about a possible new app, or an improved mobile site, but they are (presumably) still working on it.

Will it keep track of read threads on the app and the website? It seems that some sites don't mark a thread as read when you read it in tapatalk, then look at it on the website.

I'll look into that. It might be a small price to pay for an app that functions and has mobile image uploads.

It looks like the difference was if the site was marking threads as read in the database (which IIRC takes a little more HP to run the DB) or marking them as read in a cookie.

We use database marking for unread threads, not cookie-based. Hopefully we will be okay.

When? You were indicating this was in the works (for the android app) this spring. As of the new server upgrades the app no longer functions at all & I can't get to a mobile webpage, desktop only.

Any ETA on TapaTalk? Also how do you force the web page to the mobile version? My phone is stuck in desktop mode. Last night I realized my tablet is still getting the mobile page though.

How did you load the images? I tried the other night but it said the file was too large.
Other than that the new app works great.
