Re: APRIL 3RD ? CAN\'T BE

You guys are finding air museums we missed in our travels. The best one we've seen was the Air Force Museum at Dayton, OH, followed by the Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola, Fl. And the Pima County Museum and the tour of Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson, AZ, was quite interesting as well.

I can understand not going if you have no interest in aviation; different interests for different folks. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif But we stopped there and only spent the better part of one day in 1990, but went back in 1993 when I could spend two full days there. It was that interesting to me.

Of course I've lived in or near Dallas for over 48 years and I know of several "tourist attractions" here that I've never been in.

Same here. I grew up across the Bay from San Francisco and never walked across the Golden Gate until about a month before moveing to Texas. I actually made a list of local things I should see before moving.

Re: APRIL 3RD ? CAN\'T BE

yep you are correct! since the snow on the 3rd , have had nothing but sunshine, a few days in the low 60's but mostly in the 50's. ground is drying out nicely, as a matter of fact seems to be a very dry april, farmers have most of thier land tilled and a lot of stuff in the ground, even saw some irrigations lines out today.

<font color="green"> I think when you live close to an attraction you tend to take it for granted and or don't fully appreciate its value.
Since it's so close and handy you sorta say I can see it any time but sometimes anytime is a long time in coming if ever.

Re: APRIL 3RD ? CAN\'T BE

If you get to San Diego, the air museum there is First Class, right in the heart of Balboa Park (where the famous SD zoo is also)and as a measure of the quality of this museum, there's an SR 71 sitting right outside by the front door!
Plus too and also, you're in San Diego!
