Matt...... what I was referring to was his drawing where he has a awning window over a double hung window. I was not referring to having the windows ganged side by side, but one over the other. What you were referring to, side by side, does cost more, because of changes in manufacturing procedures. In stacking windows, it is a different procedure that is used and it doesn't add to the cost, at least not in my application when I built my home. This is why I suggest that he contact Andersen directly, because sometimes it pays to get the information directly from the source because a lot of details of what is available isn't necessarily in the catalog at the Home Depot and the people there might not be fully knowledgeable of all aspects of what can and can't be done. I have learned, that the question if not asked, is never answered. The worse that can happen, is that they say no.
