Are auger bits interchangeable?

I have a Rhino L200 auger that came with a 9" bit.

I also need a 6" bit... are most bits these days standard or do I have to go with a Rhino?

I would measure the diameter of the auger pipe and the bolt holes just to be sure. You could
always make an adapter with a short piece of pipe to connect the new 6' bit to your auger head.

They are universal to a degree, some offer round in two different diameters as well as a hex shaft! There is different flighting available as well as different cutting tips depending on your conditions and they do very in pricing depending on the way they are built.

With knowledge of the diameter and the desired flighting you could go to any dealer to get one.
