I will give my opinion and observation, and leave it at that. I am not trying to be combative and I will not get into a debate.

In my estimation that is about all you did do. Sounded more like a commercial.

I say this not because of any brand loyality. I have looked at a lot of tractors and can find fault and good with all of them. I owned a brand new JD, and while it is a OK tractor, I could easily write just as many words as you did, picking it apart.

I guess it is in our "human nature" to do this.

I may be wrong, but I think that Bob is trying to compare how the tractors and or loaders are made, as in the design used. He was not bring up the specs that are in the literature.

Which brands have a closed type bucket? Which brand had reinforced bucket sides? What brands have hoses up and which have hoses down? What brands have wires exposed on the underside and which don't? Which brands have full tilt up hoods and which don't? Etc, Etc. That is what Bob is getting at and how they compare.

Jerry, you are asking exactly the types of comparison questions that I was HOPING that we could all discuss without making this a thread that degrades any brand. But I deleted my posts because obviously my posts, in an attempt to simply show differences with pictures, created hard feelings that I did not want to create.

Maybe someday, over a beer we can discuss the differences. But obviously not today.

I've owned several different brands of tractors for the last 30 years and color at least for me was never a deciding factor. I buy my tractors to get a certain job done and if it becomes so I don't have a need for it any longer I find it a new home. Tractors hold their value no matter the color if taken care of and even the Chinese tractors that people talk bad about are real workhorses for the money. Yes they look rougher then the big names but who cares when they get the job done. In the 3 years and 300 hours i've owned one i've bushhogged over stumps and brush that i'd have never went into with a more expensive tractor. But for less then $7000 the dents and scratches don't hurt near as bad. On the other hand when I scratch the BX23 /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif I use my tractors hard so they do get scratched /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
