Jinma brands

It lists a bunch of brands that are all Jimnas.

I ended up getting a "Farm Pro" which is a Jimna. I've got about 13 hours on it and it seems to be OK. A few minor problems (no horn and intermittent fuel gauge) but nothing too bad. I have some oil coming out the bottom through a weep hole but I don't know whether it was left over from manufacture or a real leak. The dealer will fix it willingly.

I've used a box blade to smooth a pad for a house and I've cut 6 acres with it with no problems. I'm still getting used to how it likes to be started but it does start up the second or third try. Never had a diesel before and decompression, glow plugs, are all new to me.

I think it was a good deal considering what an American or Japanese tractor costs (1/2-2/3 more). All I could touch for the same price were 20+ years old.

Hey Holstein,

Try this board, as they have most of the Chinese Tractors listed, and separated by section for discussion. You will find out all about Chinese Tractors their.

Hey Joe,

The Decompression Lever, releases the Pressure in the Cylinders, and allows the engine to be turned over much easier and will help your Starter and Battery last longer. The Glow Plugs, heat things up, so that the fuel will ignite much easier. Not sure if the heat is to the metal or the air, but in cold weather, it also makes for a much easier startup.

You can check to see if your glow plugs are working by observing the voltmeter. When the ignition switch is in the preheat/glow plug postion, then the volt meter should show movement. If the voltmeter doesn't show movement, then the fuse for the glow plug circuit may be blown and may be the wrong size, as it was in my tractor and many others. The Glow Plug Circuit requires a 30 amp fuse. There was a 10 amp fuse in mine that kept blowing.

For Startup:

1. A little bit of Hand Throttle.
2. Decompression Lever engage.
3. Glow Plug---I only use about 3 to 5 seconds, but not more than about 20 seconds, depending on how cold it is.
4. engage starter
5. After engine starts spinning, Release Decompression Lever, and the Engine should start.

Remember the items that aren't working are covered under your warranty. But I suspect a loose wire in your fuel guage circuit. And the horn, well, don't feel like the lone ranger, as Mine went out as well, but I will get another 10 dollar horn at Advance auto parts or AutoZone.

Have a nice day,

Thanks ya'll... that's just what I was looking for. I'm getting too excited about a foreign tractor to have been raised on the standard 50, 60 and 70 model JD's, IH's, and MF's. (after all, we never could afford the new year models)

Hopefully this research will lead to a nice small job machine at an affordable price.

Thanks again to all !!
