Snow Equipment Owning/Operating Are the southern guys having any fun in the snow ????

went out to warm the kub up while my brother grained the cows.an ended up cleaning alot of snow off it.it was covered good in snow.4wd drive sure comes in handy in the snow.

We got 8" of snow in Bismarck Arkansas. Interstate was in sad shape up around Little Rock. Some cars spent the night out on the freeway as it was blocked completely with wrecked cars, tractor trailer rigs.

Sleet early this morning turning to freezing rain by mid morning, then just rain the rest of the day. Almost cold enough to freeze but nothing real exciting. Tonight might be a little interesting but it seems to have warmed up just enough for it to just be cold and wet. Typical South Carolina winter I'd say.

Up here in the pacific NW we got about 1-2" of snow over the weekend. Just enough to drive through with the tractor but not enough to plow. I did get to move firewood so i got some seat time. :thumbsup: Supposably a storm comes in on Tuesday evening but I dont expect it to be to bad.

No seat time for me in East Alabama.

I did pull out a driver that spun out and planted his 4WD Ford in a clay bank, i.e. the forest.

Like was said earlier in this thread, "southerners don't do well in ice and snow".

No one was hurt, just damaged pride and the bed of his truck, I'm guessing 3-6k worh of damage.

Got 12-14" here in Murphy, NC but had too much fun playing with the dog todo much work. Supposed to sllet tonight so I will have to see what comes around tomorrow.

No such luck! The TV weather guy tried everything he could think of to get us some snow, but all we got was a drizzle of rain. Bummer. Maybe next year...

As I was watching the weather this mourning I saw the far south was getting snow. Just wondering if anyone was getting some unexpected seat time playing in the snow?
I guess I am just a little bummed about the lack of snow here (NE pa. one 2" snow so far) and in the need for so hope.

From the mountains in Western NC. We had 6" by 10 AM this morning and it has snowed all day. Since they are calling for a "wintry mix" this evening, I decided to let it lay for today (powder on the bottom). Lots of 4WD vehicles in the south but going is not the usual problem - stopping on these steep mountain roads will get your attention (everyone has 4 wheel brakes :laughing We park a car at the bottom of the grade and everything has chains if I need them (and I DO on the Kubota with R4's). Seat time tomorrow - oh yeah!! Your turn is coming, kub32guy :thumbsup:

Maybe for you Marlowe, but up here in the upper part of S.C. we got a little more. We got I guess anywhere from 4 to 6 inches. Check the pics. Supposed to freeze tonight and then let the party begin. LOL I AIN'T GOING ANYWHERE UNLESS I HAVE TO. LOL The owners where I work texted everyone today and said no work tommorrow. It"s just a bummer I don't get paid for it. LOL zman
