Snow Equipment Owning/Operating Are the southern guys having any fun in the snow ????

As I was watching the weather this mourning I saw the far south was getting snow. Just wondering if anyone was getting some unexpected seat time playing in the snow?
I guess I am just a little bummed about the lack of snow here (NE pa. one 2" snow so far) and in the need for so hope.

We've got 7 inches on the ground here now ...came in overnight and now it is sleet and freezing rain..Temps for the next week are below freezing so this is gonna be a real mess for sure..We don't drive well in snow and ice down here since we get very little practice..Sun Belt...my foot...LOL :laughing:

My son goes to GA Tech in Atlanta - he's had more snow this winter than we've had a short stone throw from the Mason-Dixon line in north central Maryland.

It snowed for about 30 mins yesterday and this morning it snowed for about an hour. Total snow fall about a 1/4 of an inch lol a real blizzard. But it is 30 degrees here and im glad im inside. I hate the cold. luckly it melted just about as quick as it hit as most Texans dont know how to drive in this stuff.:laughing:

I had a load to p/u in NE Alabama this morning, but decided it would be a good idea to leave early and try to miss out on the fun of playing on 6% grades and Atlanta traffic when the white started sticking. Almost didn't make it, as I ran into some of the freezing rain above Macon and again about Cordele.

We are supposed to get 4-7" in Indiana tomorrow, so maybe I can finally get a chance to plow the drive out! Last year I had 3' drifts in my driveway and only had a John Deere LA115 lawn mower with a plow on front to clear the drive with. It took me 2+ hours to get it done, with much slamming of drifts with that poor mower...

Well here in Kansas we got around 2 to 3 inches. I don't have the tractor to clear the sidewalk and driveway with. I have to use the back breaking shovel.

Maybe I can use my mini backhoe next year to dig out snow. :laughing:

We got 6" here is southern middle TN. I have two tractors setting in the barn I could plow with except I am recovering from back surgery and can't climb on either one of them much less hook up the equipment.....bummer!

We got about 4 inches here in Lexington, SC and the state has pretty much shut down for the day. With temperatures not getting above freezing, the worst might actually be tomorrow morning. We will see!!

Sure looks like fun, we usually use our Rhino as a tow vehicle, but use to use a tractor; a good time is had by all.

Got nine inches here in NEMS. I had picked up an old snow plow from the scrap dealer 2 years ago. It was in the shop and so was my stump/ tree bucket. I was In the shop and looked out and there was 2 inches outside. I burned off the the tree bucket from the coupler. I cut the old snow plow off from its truck mount hinges and welded it it all to the coupler. I plowed out al lthe neighbors and about 2 miles of road this morning. I got 2 businesses in town today for some cold hard cash. Bad part about it Loaf bread and milk are scarce lol. Folks here hear the word snow and freak out. Last time I remeber one like this I was a little kid in the 80s.

About 8" here just below Huntsville, AL. Just got back from some redneck fun. 6-7 fourwheelers, 1 razor, 3-4 inner tubes, an abandoned parking lot, and alot of kids. Fun times for all.

We've got something here in Tuscaloosa, AL but it doesn't seem much like snow. It's more like H e l l freezing over since Auburn is playing for the national championship tonight.

Just seen some snow might hit us tue. night into wed. in eastern Pa......then got the call to work in N. central Pa. Snow gods are against me.
