What is the length difference between a 5' and a 6'? It is what affects maneuverability. Isn't it. Is the difference so significant?
It's got to be at least a foot longer, right?
In addition, it's also a foot wider for some reason.

When I'm not in my meadow, I drive really really carefully when the rotary is on my tractor - it's way worse than the backhoe, with is much shorter and much narrower, but even it comes uncomfortably close to hitting things you'd never expect it to.

I'm back to finding a ground cover for most of it that you don't mow. Then just mow walking/riding paths throughout it.

This is what my dad did until he sold the farm. It was quite nice.

If your back is bad now, will you be mowing it in 10 years. Also is mowing that on anything great for your back?

2515dude if you have significant back problems have you thought of getting an air seat for your tractor? Air beats steel sprung suspension seats easily and will automaticly adjust for your weight. I recommend you get a seat with a fore-and-aft isolator(2 way) as well. It makes a huge difference. A good air seat will help keep you able to do tractor work for years to come.

to piggy back on redman you can also just get an air ride seat for your zero turn as well, i just did this for my dad last month we swapped his old seat out for a far nicer forklift seat with air suspension that we mounted to his badboy avenger, we had to modify the seat handles to make clearance for the brake lever but once that was done he seat fit just fine and h has been super happy with it. we went with a grammer style since it has a hand pump built in and doesn't need electricity to function

I have spring sits on both. And as i said in one of my previous posts, the tractor sit is very comfortable, that is why i started all this about brush cutter to use tractor for mowing needs.
The ZT sit also soft and absorbs a lot of jumps, but not enough for some reason. No level of adjustment help. If i make it softer, it bottoms up and "hits" the back. If i make it firmer, it kills my back slower, but still no bueno. The tire pressure just below 10PSI.
The ZT is Dixi chopper classics.

I'll look in to air sit, probably it is a good solution for me.

Which model did you use? Where did you buy it? Is it fabric?

hmm seems reading it it is a mechanical style suspension, i thought it was air but either way my dad had spinal surgery two years ag and until we got him this seat he really couldn't mow for more than 30 minutes or he would be in major pain, with this seat he can mow all 4 acers of his back property without pain.

I believe it helped because my tractor has mechanical suspension and it is great.
There are similar ones with 12-24V which is easy to setup. I'll look in to it.
