I am on my second Kubota, an L3400HST. Before that was a B7500DT I had for 8 years. The B7500 never gave any trouble at all. And I worked it hard at times. Mostly lifting and loader work. A little mowing with a rotary cutter. I traded it because mainly I wanted an HST again. and a little more lifting power. I had a NH TC33DA before the first Kubota at another location, and sold it before we moved. It was a little fancier tractor than either of the Kubotas. But the Kubotas have been solid trouble free well designed machines for me. All tractors have good points and some faults, but I dont think you would go wrong with any of the newer tractor brands> I hope you enjoy that new 'bota, and wish you many trouble free years of service with it.

FUNWITHAHOE........I am glad you made a decision and are happy with it. I have had/have 5 Kubotas and have had good luck and liked all of them. There are things that I don't like but I considered Kubota was the best bang for the buck with good dealer support.
As with any forum you will find many diverse strong opinions and it is up to the reader to sift through the crap. Overall you will get a good cross section of information.
I too have a B3200 and like it. Best bang for my buck anyway. Enjoy your purchase:thumbsup:

Are you guys Kubota fans?
Is that supposed to be a stupid question? :D haha j/k.

(I mean, you did post it in the Kubota forum after all... there might be a slight bias...)

1) Yes I'm a fan of Kubota products, but not at the exclusion of anything else. I like all machines, period, especially ones with wheels on them.
Kubota Tractor Corp., I could care less about.

2) Having participated in a variety of internet forums, trust me, these are not the most critical people on the planet. This is one of the friendliest most helpful sites anywhere. I think most people mean well, try not mistake being passionate for being abrasive. :)

Oh, and congrats on your new tractor!
There's going to be some pictures posted, right?? ;)

Prior to buying the M59 I recently purchased we owned (and still do) an L3450 Kubota for about 12 years or so. Based on the performance of the L3450 I knew a Kubota TLB was one of the machines I would consider for what was probably my last tractor purchase. I would not have purchased the M59 if I did not generally believe in the Kubota brand.

I believe some of the posts that I have read are actually due more to interaction with a non-responsive/poorly customer focused dealer. Plus any brand can have some issues and Kubota is no exception. Combine a problem with a poorly focused dealer and maybe throw in a smidgen of misunderstanding and away we go.

Do your maintenance and don't expect the unit to do things that it shouldn't be asked to do and I suspect you'll be happy with the purchase.

Based on the limited time I've had the M59 I have no complaints.

Thanks All - Make me feel better about the forum!! Pics coming.

I agree with all who replied just understand what this machine will do and don't ask more of it! - Some people buy these and think they purchased a Caterpillar Track Loader. They are brilliantly engineered pieces of equipment and do a ton but they aren't designed to knock over trees or dig out foundations. I sold a bigger piece of equipment and have a really good idea of what this will do. My bigger 'Bota was owned by someone who had lots of problems with it (don't ask why I bought it) I owned it and treated it right for 5 years and did not have one problem with it. I worked it appropriately - didn;t baby it but didn;t ask it to do stupid things either.

My b3200 does make some noise at higher RPM's but I grabbed the seat belt female end and that was about 30% of it (No deal there) and the ROPS pins were shaking in there for the other 70% (No deal there either).

It really is a two way street - Certainly owner's should expect appropriate treatment from a dealer but you aren't buying a rolls royce here - It is suppose to be a little loud and dirty. Also, I am not sure I would want to trade shoes with the dealer. The ones I have interacted with are hard workers (privately owned businesses) and have been more than willing to work with me. It can't be tons of fun to own a dealership and deal with the "lay" public. I would guess it would be a lot easier to sell to farmers who are educated in what to expect from the equipment. I did bargain on my tractor but didn't see if I could work out the last penny. I have so far received great service so in my mind everyone won. Also if you are buying a 'Bota are you really just scraping by??

Thanks for all the nice replies!!

I think there are a lot of people on all the brand sites that absolutely should not own tractors. You hit the nail on the head when you mentioned the lack of experience and unrealistic expectations. I do not see how many of these people have ever purchased a piece of equipment, a tool, a machine, an automobile... of any kind that they were satisfied with.

However, some coming on these sites are looking for input to help them learn to use their tractors, they get what they need, they contribute, and many of their concerns vanish. Others just stick around and complain.

A lot of us have operated tractors whose brands disappeared long before many visiting these sites were born, and I for one am still amazed at the things I got done with what would today be considered by most of these critical people to be too slow, too unsafe, too difficult, and just too unusable. Many of us are older and don't realize how bad we must have had it. Even our newer tractors aren't perfect in every way, but we knew that when we bought them...used or otherwise. Yet we do what we need to do or hire out those things we can't. We are happy with what our equipment did rather than upset for what it didn't and we don't constantly look for problems that don't exist. Our diesels rattle and our pumps whine, but we think that is acceptable. Forgive us for our shortcomings.

Very very true!!! Example.... Ford 500 Jubilee with loader, you had to be part of that tractor to hit a pile and come away with a full bucket of anything! John Deere "M" pulling a set of disc harrows one wrong turn into some wet dirt and there you stayed. A MF 40 that had a great loader but two wheel drive. But it all got done.

Purchased a L3400 Hst with loader and this forum said the loader was weak and the 3pt was errratic. I love this machine. I take care of it and it takes care of me. Knowing your Kubota or any machine is what it is all about! Congrats on your purchase and good tractoring!

First tractor I climbed around on as a kid and later learned to drive/use was my grandparents' 1950 Ferguson. Just Ferguson. (after Ford, before Massey - some of you will know :)). It's still in the family and being used, my uncle has it. It ain't pretty after years & years of farming, but it just will not be stopped.

That's gotta count for something, even if it is older than I am.

We had one of those Ferguson's for a while - was still running well when we sold it - just too small and light for our needs at the time. Another oldie we used (and we still have actually) is a Massey Harris - spent many hours on that one as a kid. Always remember wishing it had a wider wheelbase when working on those hilly hay fields. Or how about an International B414 - tough tractor but no loader down pressure or hydraulic bucket. As a kid, I could barely push the clutch in on those two - I was too light and too short (at least back then) :) But as someone said, they got the work done.

Yes we're picky..We did buy in the "high end" of the SCUT,CUT market...So we're allowed:D...These things ain't cheap.

All and all, they make fantastic equipment. When something doesn't go as I expect...Expect me to post it. Sometimes fair, somtimes, maybe...not.
